Lullwater Day is a revival of an old Homecoming tradition that celebrates the Emory community, history, nature, and the stunning Lullwater Preserve. Historically, the event has taken place in Lullwater, however, in support of conservation efforts, we have relocated the event to the adjacent Clairmont Campus. The walk/run will begin outside the Student Activity & Academic Center and run through Lullwater Park. All those interested are encouraged to register online, but walk ups are also welcome. On-site registration will be from 7:30 - 8:15 a.m. Prizes will be awarded to male and female winners in 5 age groups (21 and under, 22-29, 30-39, 40-49, and 50 and up). The run is hosted by Emory Recreation & Wellness and the Emory Alumni Association.
Registration will open August 11, 2022. The first 50 participants will receive a T-shirt upon check-in. Bagels and coffee will also be served.

Bring your family, find inspiration in the monks from the Drepung Loseling Monastery who will be in the Carlos Museum’s Ackerman Hall completing a week-long mandala project for Emory Tibet Week, and make your own sand mandala under the museum tent on the quad. Unique to Tibetan Buddhism, sand mandalas are believed to affect purification and healing. Alumni and families will be able to design their own mandalas using chakpurs and sand, like the monks.
